Well, I got the job at Johnson County Public Library. I'm the only "Community Engagement Librarian" that I know of. I'll be working with local government and civic organizations to help citizens become more involved in the decision-making process at the county level. I'll be trained as a facilitator, and I'll also be creating web content to help people become more informed about local issues.
I can't begin to say how thrilled I am about this job. It's so exciting. It's an amazing opportunity to do something really new and meaningful. It feels like another piece of my life just clicked into place.
